City of Ponce

 Ponce is known to many as the Ciudad Señorial ("Majestic City") due to its
everlasting facades of Spanish architecture along the historic quarter of the
city. Also known as the "Pearl of the South", Ponce is a flourishing
industrial zone that boasts many of the attractions and points of interest that
holds the Capital of the Island, but less crowded. Ponce is located on the south
side of the Island and is a mayor tourism zone with diverse musems and exhibits
for your enjoyment, most of them within walking distance of some of the most
beautiful hotels on the area.
How to get there
From San Juan simply take road PR-52 south (Luis A. Ferré Highway). From
Mayaguez, take road #2 west-south.
Exploring the Area - What to Expect
Ponce is a warm, often hot place, so make sure you pack comfy, cool clothes.
You can explore the city in a day by driving (or staying) to the historic sector
around the Town Square. Ponce also holds the second largest Shopping Mall in
Puerto Rico, and holds the most important commerce locations on the area.
