Juanita Bananas located on Culebra Island, PR is a new concept in Island Cookery. We have dedicated 1 acre of land surrounding the restaurant for the purpose of cultivating most of the vegetables, fruits & herbs to be used in the preparation of our unequaled fresh delicacies. This is being accomplished by the creation of a double system of growing based on hydroponics for leafy vegetables, herbs, tomatoes & cucumber. The second system for larger in-ground crops such as citrus, bananas, papayas, pigeon peas & squash is with drip irrigation. The food is in the tradition of the Seafarer's Inn restaurant founded in 1970 by my parents where all the seafood came from Culebra waters. In order to assure our customers unequalled products and services we request advance reservations for all our Catering and Private Events. We will include some recipes from the Seafarer's Inn as well as new ones created by Chef Jennifer Daubon.
