Location Description
The best known and best loved of Puerto Rico's public beaches, or balnearios, Luquillo is about 45 minutes from San Juan. Nearby, famous food kiosks feature authentic local snacks, but the main attraction is the clean, wide, sandy beach stretching for over a mile. Luquillo Beach offers a unique service, 'Sea without Barriers,' for visitors in wheelchairs.

How To Get There
Take road #3 (often referred to locals as #65th Infantry Avenue) towars Fajardo. The beach is located right on the roadside when you enter the town of Luquillo (you will notice the beach by looking north, you will see a line of kiosks on the roadsie -- PS, you NEED to try a 'bacalaíto' or a cod fish fritter).
